Spectacular African sunsets in Liwonde Park, Malawi
After many years exploring four of the five continents with the backpack in tow, finally it was the turn of Africa. For me it has been like those big dinners or meals in which you leave your favorite dish or dessert for last.
Although I do not know all the countries or regions of each continent, I have no doubt in affirming that what has lived in Africa surpasses everything else. Moreover, today I think that who has not submerged his soul in sub-Saharan Africa, will remain an incomplete traveler.
Africa is purity, antiquity, nobility, naturalness, passions - both good and bad - in pure state, light, heat, adventure, more heat, dance, smiles, corrupt police, wild animals, dramatic landscapes, hospitality ... And much more. But the most important thing is to realize that Africa isfundamentally their people.
You have to go to Africa with an open heart and mind, wanting to soak up all the sensations that its inhabitants have to offer. Who goes with fears, ignoring all the myths (although some are not so much) about danger and violence or diseases, the best thing you can do is save money and stay at home. Or go on safari.
Go to Africa on safari and see one of those villages where people still live "Supertypical, the one they still wear loincloths and spears ... And they have a sorcerer and everything! ... uncle!" It is the quintessence of the western tourist who wants the African medal in his chest.
It is nice to see wild animals free in their habitat but if your budget does not allow it (if the animals charge for copyright, most would be living in golden jungles), do not suffer, go to Africa also because the greatest treasure they keep their habitants.
In fact, I had the opportunity to squeeze the step a little to be able to see Victoria Falls and I preferred not to do so to enjoy more time of the people Mozambique Y Malawi. I am sure that it is a natural beauty worthy of admiration, but just thinking that I would have to spend my last days in Africa surrounded by white tourists with huge cameras, the seven evils entered me. Also, for me the undisputed and unmatched number one will always be Iguazu. After seeing those falls, they are all left behind.

I would have liked to be able to enjoy more time lost in places where we did not find any other traveler. Having gone deeper into the spirit of this continent that saw man born and whose inhabitants continue to manifest their human passions to the greatest extent. But well, I had my ration and, of course, I plan to return for more.
My trip of almost 2 months from South Africa began with a pleasant and light contact in South Africa.
As part of a multinational group invited by the South African Department of Tourism, I visited Cape Town Y Johannesburg. I saw interesting places, met very nice people and lived with some comforts that in some moments of weakness, weeks later, I would remember with longing. However, I knew that was not what I was looking for on this trip.
On March 4, I was finally alone with my backpack and began my journey. I had my ration of wild animals in the famous Kruger park from South Africa to cross, then, to Maputo, capital of Mozambique.
What to say about Mozambique ?. When you enter a country without any expectation you run the risk of being trapped in their networks without premeditation or alevosía. Mozambique has penetrated deep into my soul. I went in for a week and ended up enjoying there until the last of the 30 days my visa allowed me.
