Beachfront beach bar in Marbella
I was recently from Marbella vacations. As for many, before having the pleasure of visiting it, Marbella meant basically rich, jet-set and corruption. What if Jesus Gil and the Arab sheiks, what if yachts and expensive cars.
Well what I found was a real surprise. As always, value judgments should not be made without first having your own experience. Or what is the same, as the great Jose Maria Garcia said, aka the butanito, without data you do not think.
So now, after stopping by, I'm going to give you 4 reasons to travel to Marbella and in none of them you will find neither yachts, nor jewelry stores or shops of Versace. I will keep it very simple, as I like it.
1. The Old Town
It is a real delight to walk through the old town of Marbella
Of course, I arrived in Marbella hoping to find 100 euro bills lying on the ground. Both sheikh and so much yacht stuck in the brain, how naive. No, Marbella is an Andalusian city with some Arabian sparkles, as it should be, and it has a very pretty old town.
It is located in the center of the city. Come on, Marbella is not that big either, so it has no loss. Cobbled streets, white walls, flowers on the windows and on the balconies. And very clean.
Quiet and restful, the old town of Marbella is a perfect place to get lost in its streets contemplating the beauty with ancient flavor of an Andalusian town.
Around the Plaza de los Naranjos you will find bars, restaurants and taverns
